Internal Working Process of Punching Press

A punching press converts motor rotary motion into slide linear motion,using molds to apply force to metal sheets for punching, blanking, bending, pressing, shaping and cutting and so on.comprehensive and continuous efficiency ,precise and controllable.

The motor continuous to operate and the flywheel is running at high speed ,storing the huge kinetic energy required for the stamping process,at this moment ,the clutch disengages and the brake locks up .Upper slide has stopped at its highest position (the upper dead point),waiting for the start command.

When the operator triggers the instruction(pedal switch/two-hand buttons),the brake loosens and the  clutch joint at once.the kinetic energy stored in the flywheel transmitting to the crankshafts through gears ,then power system started  up.

   The rotation of the crankshafts drive the connecting rods,pushing the slider (upper die)down quickly,The pressure sharply increased after the upper mold came into contact with the sheet material,output the maximum tonnage pressure at the critical point.Working with the lower die, it punches, cuts or forms the sheet, causing instant deformation or separation。

The crankshaft continues rotating, pulling the ram upward. The clutch disengages and the brake applies immediately, stopping the ram precisely at TDC. At the same time,the discharge plate will separate the sheet of material that is stuck on the punch,the waste material falls out from the lower mold hole,then complete one cycle.

The flywheel accelerates again to store energy for the next stroke. High-speed presses can complete tens to hundreds of cycles every minute, realizes high efficiency and  mass production.
